Drafting and review of sponsorship, endorsement, event and commercial services agreements. We address payment, performance obligations, permitted use, exclusivity, cancellation and termination.
Brand, content and image use
Advice on contractual permissions for the use of names, images, brands and content, together with licensing and confidentiality arrangements. We assess the rights involved and the proposed commercial use.
Explore brand protectionEmployment and professional relationships
Advice on employment, consultancy and service contracts, departures, settlement agreements and workplace disputes. Sporting rules and any separate regulatory requirements are considered where relevant to the instruction.
Disputes and governance
Support with commercial disagreements, payment disputes, shareholder arrangements and governance issues affecting sports businesses. We consider negotiation, mediation, arbitration or proceedings, with specialist input where required.
Our approach
We begin with the commercial relationship, applicable agreements and any governing-body rules or deadlines. We agree the legal work required and identify whether specialist sports regulatory advice or overseas support is needed. Our role is legal advice; any separate agent or intermediary activity requires its own assessment.
Common questions
Can you review a sponsorship or endorsement offer?
Yes. We review the obligations, payment terms, exclusivity, use of your name or image and the circumstances in which the agreement may end. The scope depends on the proposed arrangement.
Do you act as a sports agent?
This service provides legal advice and support with agreements and disputes. It does not itself include acting as a licensed sports agent or intermediary.
Can you advise on an international arrangement?
We can advise on the agreed English-law aspects and coordinate with overseas advisers. Governing-body requirements and local law may affect what the parties can agree.
