Fariquain Shah

With over 25 years of experience in criminal defence, Fariquain Shah — known to many as Faz — is a Director at the firm and a Solicitor Advocate with Higher Rights of Audience. He regularly represents clients in serious and complex matters before the Crown Court. Since 2001, Faz has practised exclusively in criminal law and is well regarded for his work on high-profile and sensitive cases. His experience includes defending clients in major prosecutions involving: • MTIC (carousel) fraud • Organised crime and conspiracy • Money laundering and financial crime • Terrorism and national security offences Faz is recognised for his strategic judgment, thorough preparation, and composed courtroom advocacy. He frequently works alongside King’s Counsel and leading London Chambers to provide robust, client-focused representation. From initial police interviews through to trial, he leads teams that support clients throughout every stage of proceedings. In addition to his practice, Faz lectures in international law and is active in community service. His early background as a lecturer and former special constable reflects his long-standing commitment to public service, legal education, and mentorship.
